Marie Ivette Placa Gomez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Mayagüez Campus and worked in the pharmaceutical and electronics industries. A few years later, she completed studies at the Institute of Appraisers of Puerto Rico, which led her to work with renowned appraisers and to gain extensive experience in this field.
